NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN FOR APPOINTMENT OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO THE CLYDE TRANSFER TERMINAL COMMUNITY CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE
Want to contribute to your community?
Many State significant projects in NSW have Community Consultative Committees. These committees provide a forum for open dialogues between the proponent and representatives of the local community, stakeholder groups and local councils on issues directly related to the project.
Operational since 2004, the Clyde Transfer Terminal (located at 322, Parramatta Road Clyde) receives mixed waste household and commercial waste containerised for transfer to Veolia’s site at Woodlawn by rail for treatment and resource recovery. Further details about the project can be found at http://majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl?action=view_job&job_id=8271
We are looking for mix of people who live locally or are members of stakeholders groups (community, environment, Aboriginal or industry) to join our new Clyde Transfer Terminal Community Consultative Committee.
Please note that employees and contractors of the proponent (Veolia) are not eligible for appointment to the committee as a community representative.
Your role as a committee member is voluntary. You will be expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend around (four) meetings a year, and communicate information about Clyde Transfer Terminal between the committee and the broader community.
