Craig Mctear 10th February 2010
A MAN suffered a nasty gash to his face in a road rage incident at Woolgoolga on Monday afternoon.
The drama unfolded after a driving dispute in Harbour Drive at Coffs Harbour, police said.
Both drivers later confronted each other at Sapphire service station and the argument continued at a bottleshop at Woolgoolga.
A man was being served at the counter when a man and a woman arrived in a vehicle.
Police said the woman entered the shop and approached the man who then went back to his car, where he was confronted by the other man and they began fighting.
The woman grabbed an object and then struck the man’s head, leaving him with cuts to his left cheek and finger.
A bottleshop employee was forced to intervene, police said.
Police inquiries are ongoing and they are examining CCTV footage of the incident.
