Toowoomba weekend events Dec 19-20

18th December 2009

CHRISTMAS is just one week away, and there is a sack full of festive festivities to enjoy this weekend.

The Empire Theatre kicks off the fun with the Fairytale Christmas 09 - Storybook. Celebrate the wonder, fun and hope of Christmas with all your favourite fairytale characters in a spectacular stage show.

The show kicks off at 6.30pm on Saturday and entry is via a gold coin donation.

If you're in a singing kind of mood then you're in luck, because the Oakey Carols by the Creek is on this Saturday night.

Bring your own basket of Christmas treats and enjoy a big old community dinner, then sit back and enjoy a children's choir singing all your favourite carols.

Don't forget you check out some of the amazing entries in the Toowoomba Christmas Lights Competition, or the visual spectacular that is Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland in Queen's Park.

If carols aren't your thing, you can still enjoy a festive feast by heading along to the Big Country Sunday Brunch at the Jondaryn Woolshed.

Enjoy a genuine home-cooked, all-you-can-eat brunch and a variety of entertainment activities and demonstrations, all for just $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
