A 45-YEAR-OLD man was pinned under a forklift after it flipped at Caloundra about 8am.

The accident occurred at Caloundra Christian College when the forklift, which was unloading bricks from a truck, over-balanced and flipped, trapping the driver underneath.

Shortly after the man was freed and was taken to hospital for treatment for unspecified injuries.

He was listed as being in a serious but stable condition at Nambour Hospital.

Workplace Health and Safety is investigating the incident.
