Powderfinger to play live gig online

YOU'VE heard them on the radio, seen them on TV, and watched them play at massive festivals.

Now, Aussie rock icons Powderfinger are set to break new ground with a special preview of their latest album, Golden Rule, streamed live over the internet from their Brisbane rehearsal studio.

From 8pm AEST on Thursday, 12 November, fans will get the chance to hear every song from the band's highly-anticipated new LP ahead of its official release on Friday 13, November.

The gig, to be broadcast across Fairfax Digital's online news network, will give Powderfinger die-hards the chance to see the band perform in the natural confines of their Vulture Street studio.

For those who can't make it to a computer for the live stream, the footage will remain available on Fairfax websites until February 2010.
