Chris Townley was disgusted when this neo-Nazi propaganda material landed in his letterbox.

CHRIS Townley is disgusted that he has been targeted with racist, neo-Nazi propaganda material.

He was outraged when a personally addressed envelope containing "Neo-Nazi anti-Semitic ranting" landed in his Meringandan West letterbox this week.

The flyers are titled "Was there really a Holocaust?" and "Chemistry of the Holocaust" and proceed to deny the Holocaust ever took place.

"The Holocaust is a historical lie, a political fantasy and a financial swindle," an enclosed letter reads.

The letter also says the flyers are banned in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and other countries.

Mr Townley was "incensed" by the offensive material.

"I don’t know how they would have come across my address," he said.

"My guess is that they’re trying to recruit people to their point of view.

"But whoever they are they’re not willing to identify themselves.

"You put a light on them and they run for cover like cockroaches."

Toowoomba RSL president Paddy Boxall declined to comment on the material.

"I won’t even dignify it with a response," he said.

Lawyer and chief executive officer of The Advocacy and Support Centre, Dan Toombs, said the material was "absolutely appalling".

"In my opinion this would be illegal under the Racial Discrimination Act," he said.

"There is no place for it in Toowoomba.

"If people are being aggrieved by this type of stuff they need to contact an organisation like TASC so we can do something about it."

University of Southern Queensland history lecturer Libby ConnorsÖ said it was completely inaccurate and offensive to deny the Holocaust took place.

"There are whole institutes devoted to the study of the Holocaust," Dr Connors said.

"There are still people alive with the tattooed number they were given in the concentration camp.

"To have that pain denied is just horrific."

Truly worthy of the Fish and Chip wrapper award. A couple of things I would like to mention. First. History does not fear investigation. Unless it has something to hide. History does not need thought and hate laws to protect it from critical analysis. Who done it? Well as far as I know there is no Right Wing or fringe group in Australia who would ever post material. They simply cant afford it. From the pictures the only Swastika I see is on the front page of the paper. The Holocaust very well may be a mixture of Hoax and truth. But I think this story very well maybe a real Hoax. Come on Chronicle.
