Locals hope for Lotto luck

GYMPIE people will be hoping their winning lottery form holds tonight, with a massive $90 million guaranteed jackpot in Oz Lotto's record Tuesday night draw.
Golden Casket gambling products, including Powerball, Gold Lotto, and Oz 7 Lotto and Instant Scratch-Its, have become almost an industry in the Gympie region, bringing in their own $3.5 million stimulus package over the past 12 months.
A check of winners in our region shows big $1 million-plus Gold Lotto wins, $1,392,341.83 in one prize from a ticket purchased at Gympie Market Place News and two of $1 million each from newsXpress Gympie.
Goldfields News and Casket and Patrick's Casket and Newsagency each sold Gold Lotto entries netting $15,268.
Patrick's also sold a $13,393.50 winner, newsXpress $10,697.70, Lucky Jim's News and Casket Agency $10,105.05, newsXpress 9829.65, Lucky Jim's $7724.20 and $6607.20, Gympie Market Place $6147.10, Goldfields $5099.15 and newsXpress $991.25.
Instant Scratch-Its also brought some big money, a newsXpress Gympie ticket winning $250,000 and another bringing in $750, Lucky Jim's $1000 and $750, Patrick's scooping three winners at $750 each, Tiaro Newsagency $750 (twice), Gympie Market Place News $750, Tin Can Bay News $750 (twice) and with other $750 prizes from tickets sold at The Victory Store, Pomona News and Casket, Goldfields, Gympie Mary Street News and Goomeri News.
