One of our finda reporters experienced the destruction first-hand, and is feeling very lucky after a giant tree fell onto her parents' house - missing her father's car by inches, and only crushing the roof.
As they say - one picture tells a thousand words; so we'll let the images speak for themselves.

Just what you want to wake up to on a Saturday morning. A giant tree finally succumbs to the strong winds that have hit Lismore for a second time. Photo: Amanda Bown

Amanda's father's car has about 109 lives. The tree fell and has enveloped it. No damage done. It's very, very lucky. Photo: Amanda Bown

Now waiting for the SES to come and get the tree of the house. Not sure how long the wait will be, but the Bowns are considering themselves very lucky. Photo: Amanda Bown
