DELTA Goodrem will headline Sydney's Christmas spectacular, Carols in the Domain.

And skivvy-clad children's band The Wiggles will take part in the free festivities for the 17th consecutive year.

Goodrem said she would be joined on stage by her Irish beau Brian McFadden and Australian Idol graduates, Shannon Noll, Guy Sebastian and Paulini.

"As a Sydney-sider I couldn't be more thrilled to be part of my home town's Christmas spectacular," Goodrem said.

"I am so excited to be coming home for Christmas."

Opera singer and Dancing With The Stars contestant David Hobson has also been named on the line-up, along with country crooner Melinda Scheider.

The annual Christmas show attracts about 100,000 people each year and kicks of at 3pm (AEDT) on December 20.
