PAUL Berkman reckons it makes more sense to have an ice skating rink in Toowoomba than it does in Brisbane.
“After all, we do have a colder climate up here,” he said.
Mr Berkman was one of scores of locals who went along to the Showgrounds at the weekend to test their skills at staying upright on the ice.
Mr Berkman has skated once before, in Brisbane.
“You can go as fast as you want and still be okay, but stopping is a challenge,” he said.
