Let your light shine bright this Christmas
25th November 2008
THE Chronicle and Ergon Energy are urging residents to create a Christmas wonderland in Toowoomba during the festive season.
The Toowoomba Christmas Lights Competition is now open for nominations with two categories - Residential and First Time Entrant.
Chronicle newspaper sales and marketing manager Markeeta Hatherell said entry forms were available every day in The Chronicle until Thursday.
Nominations will close on Friday at 5pm.
“There are some great gift voucher prizes to win and it is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit,” she said.
“We always have a great number of people enter and the more we have this year, the merrier.
“It is great to see whole streets becoming more involved - so why not have a go this year.”
Prizes include Judges' Choice $1000, Judges' Choice - Highly Commended $400, First Prize Public Choice $300 and First Time Entrant $500.
Residents are asked to light up their homes from December 8 to 25.
Keep reading The Chronicle as a full list of entrants will be published for you to share in the wonderful displays.
“Make sure you read the terms and conditions before you enter, available at The Chronicle reception or visit www.thechronicle.com.au,” Ms Hatherell said.
“There are also some safety tips available.”
