All crimes to face the scales of justice.
A FORMER school teacher, 59, has been charged with the repeated rape of a 10-year-old girl at a Toowoomba private school where he was working last year.
Toowoomba Police arrested the man on Friday night and held him in custody until he appeared in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Saturday.
He is charged with five counts of rape and one count of indecent treatment of a child, a police spokeswoman said yesterday.
The former teacher was released on bail with strict conditions and remanded to reappear in court on December 1.
He lives in Toowoomba and is now retired from teaching.
It is believed police have interviewed other girls from the school and more charges may be laid.
