TOOWOOMBA residents are in for a treat with the return of soprano Liza Beamish and tenor Lachlan Baker to the Garden City.

Recently completing a successful tour of Queensland's regional performing arts centres, Liza and Lachlan will be performing in a concert on Sunday, October 12, at St Thomas More's Church.

The concert is a fundraising endeavour of St Thomas More's Parish with all money raised going to a bursary to put indigenous students through university specifically to study psychology to enable them to help their own people.

Liza and Lachlan's repertoire is wide ranging and covers everything from opera to musicals and popular tunes.

Their rendition of a medley of songs from Phantom of the Opera is a particular favourite with audiences.

As well as touring together, they have recently produced a new CD called Fabulous Favourites.

The show starts at 2pm. Entry is only $10 and afternoon tea is provided. Tickets can be purchased from St Thomas More's Church, 71A Ramsay Street (corner South Street). For more information phone 4635 9555.
