Pet adoption
- 10th August 2008
"Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms."
George Eliot; Scenes of Clerical Life: Mr Gilfil's Love Story
Looking to fill that empty place in your heart and home? Are you willing to be a responsible parent to someone who desperately needs you? Are you ready to have someone totally devoted to you until their dying day?
Then chances are a pet adoption centre could be the place for you to find that missing soul mate.
Across Australia, more than 138,000 animals find their way to an RSPCA shelter during the year. Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit, horse or any other furry, feathered or scaly creature - any of these that have been mistreated, abandoned or simply no longer wanted will come to the sanctuary that is the RSPCA.
RSPCA adoption centres are your best bet to finding the perfect match in pet heaven. Cats and dogs have been de-sexed, microchipped and deemed suitable for finding new homes.
Simply visit the RSPCA adopt-a-pet site at www.adoptapet.com.au, or feel free to check out the animals at one of these shelters near you.
