Courteney misses out on Indy crown

TOOWOOMBA"S Courteney McLellan may not have been crowned Miss Indy on Thursday night, but the model has secured a calendar photo shoot.
Miss McLellan, 22, will spend this weekend enjoying the thrill of Queensland"s premier motor sport event.
As part of the Barter Card Miss Indy team, Miss McLellan will be kept busy signing autographs for racing enthusiasts.
The model will also appear in the 2008 BMI Calendar, after impressing photographers and judges in the Miss Indy competition.
"I"m using this experience as a tool to promote myself and to get my name out there," Miss McLellan said prior to the 2007 Miss Indy finals.
Gold Coast local Kate Hockley will hold the title of Barter Card Miss Indy 2007 for the following 12 months. Originally from New Zealand, Miss Hockley blitzed photographic, interview, evening wear, swimwear and sportswear sections.
The blonde model studies a Bachelor of Communications and wants to pursue a career in organising charity events.
