Teen dies in Tinbeerwah crash

31st July 2010

A 17-YEAR-OLD Tewantin man has died in a two-car crash at Tinbeerwah, police said today.

Police said the crash happened on Noosa Cooroy Road about 5.45am this morning.

Another man is in a serious condition.

Road diversions are in place. Police have urged motorists to avoid the area.

The death comes a day after a Tewantin teenager was charged over the deaths of his two best mates on the same stretch of road.

Andrew Spence and Jake Bailey, both 18, were killed after Nathan Palmer’s car and a silver Renault Scenic wagon towing a boat collided on the Cooroy-Noosa Road at Tinbeerwah at 3.56pm on February 17.

The separate crashes happened about 400m appart.
