Noosa's Festival of Surfing 2010
Alexia Purcell 15th March 2010
The traditional ho’okupu mixing of the waters opening ceremony initiated this year's Noosa Festival of Surfing.
NOOSA'S 2010 Festival of Surfing started on Sunday 14 March with the traditional ho’okupu mixing of the waters opening ceremony at First Point.
While the ceremonious opening didn't occur until late Sunday afternoon, surfing events such as the V-Australia Noosa v Malibu Challenge, Golden Breed Noserider Trials and Noosa Springs Champs for Charity kicked off the festival early Sunday morning.
Sunday evening events included book signing by Kathy “Gidget” Kohnerand and the opening night luau party with Max Judo live at Surf City.
