PETROL fumes, soaring temperatures and a cold beer or two were all happening at the 15th Annual Allora Heritage Weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

It was Jeff Klein’s 12th visit to the Allora Heritage Weekend and he described this year’s effort as “the biggest and best yet”.

Mr Klein, who lives in Cambooya, and his grandson 12-year-old Jacob Klein were enjoying the family atmosphere that the weekend had to offer. Jacob has been coming to the show ever since he can remember and really enjoys looking at all the stationary engines.

Ms Lynne Clarkson (nee Hoey) was able to show her daughters a car the same as the one she learnt to drive on, both daughters were relieved that they can learn to drive on something more modern.

Warwick Veteran and Vintage Vehicle Club president Graeme McMillan said that there were around 300 tractors, 150 trucks, 100 stationary engines and far too many cars to count present at this year’s Heritage Weekend.

Mr McMillan described the weekend as a living museum, as the age of the vehicles ranged from the early 1900’s onwards.

Brisbanite Christine Stevens said that she enjoys watching the oldies enjoying themselves and catching up with the same friends that she sees at the Heritage Weekend year after year.
