NATASHA Heel allegedly plied three 15-year-old girls with alcohol to reduce their inhibitions before assisting in taking pornographic pictures of them.

She also is alleged to have taken pictures of a 45-year-old Mackay man in sexual poses and sexual activity with the girls.

Heel, 22, who now lives at Gracemere, near Rockhampton, faced a committal hearing in the Mackay Magistrate’s Court yesterday on 80 charges, including:

  • 78 charges of indecent treatment of children aged under 16;
  • One charge of administering alcohol with intent to commit a sexual offence;
  • One charge of involving children in making child pornography.

All incidents are alleged to have occurred in 2006, in North Mackay. The three girls are now aged about 18 and living in different states of Australia.

The evidence against Heel yesterday included statements from the three 15-year-old girls, pictures of a computer and camera that allegedly were used in making pornography and about 100 pictures in colour and black and white.

The police case is that Heel had a friendship with a 45-year-old man who claimed to be a photographer and that she assisted him in taking images of the girls. Police allege she introduced the three girls to the man.

The pictures showed them naked, wearing g-strings, kissing and fondling each other and in various sexual poses.

The 45-year-old man appeared in several pictures himself, with his face close to one girl’s private parts, and police allege Heel took that picture among many others.

In another picture the man had his hands around another girl’s breasts. He had a wardrobe of adult clothes and lingerie, leather and skimpy outfits and sexual aids, which he used in some of the pictures.

At the conclusion of yesterday’s brief hearing, barrister Bronwyn Hartigan conceded that there was a case for Heel to answer and Magistrate Ross Risson committed Heel to stand trial in the District Court on a date to be fixed.

She was granted bail on condition that she has no contact with any of the three girls and that she lives at an address known to police in Gracemere.

A man, 45, pleaded guilty in the District Court in Mackay in September 2007 to his involvement in the offences. He was jailed for two-and-a-half years, to be suspended after serving 10 months. He is now on parole and is a registered sex offender.
