Lily Sullivan strikes her winning pose on the catwalk at Caneland Central yesterday.

LILY Sullivan caught the judges' eye with her long legs, stunning smile and her gorgeous chocolate coloured eyes.

With her flowing long brown hair, dressed in black jeans, over coat and heels, the striking 15-year-old holidaying from Brisbane was crowned Mackay's QV Cosmopolitan Model Search winner.

Lily will be off to Melbourne to compete in the nation-wide Cosmopolitan Model Search in November, with five international modelling contracts to be won.

Three Mackay beauties Delton Clark, Emily Bampton and Rachael Haber also wowed the judges yesterday on the catwalk at Caneland Central taking home the runners-up prizes.

The three beauties will also jet off to Melbourne to join Lily on the catwalk.

Lily was overwhelmed when she was announced the winner of the Mackay Cosmopolitan Model Search as tears of shock and excitement rolled down her checks.

“I have never done anything like this before. I was here in Mackay holidaying so it's very amazing,” she said.

“It hasn't really sunk in yet but I am looking forward to now seeing where it takes me.”

Cosmopolitan event manager Louise Keeran, who came up from Melbourne to judge, said she was surprised with Mackay's talent and they would be on the lookout again next year.

“We had such a hard time deciding on a winner. All of them had what we were looking for and could have qualified but you can only have one winner,” she said.

“Our company has been overwhelmed with the beauty that Mackay has to offer and we will be back next year.

“The winner and runners-up from Mackay will now go to Melbourne in November and compete down there.

“I am really looking forward to seeing all of regional Australia's talent come together on the one catwalk. There is some real talent across Australia but it just has to be found and that's what we trying to do.”

Caneland Central centre manager Anna-Maree Coco said the model search was a huge event for Mackay and was proud to be able to host it.

“It has been a pleasure to host and the talent here among our young girls is amazing,” she said.

“I believe those who didn't win will go on to be in our centre promotions in the future. Something like this coming to Mackay has been exciting; we are the only town in North Queensland to have been able to experience something like this.”
