LAWYERS acting on behalf of Alex Wildman's parents, Justine and Bill, are calling for anyone who has information about bullying at Kadina High School to come forward and speak to them.

Alex Wildman took his own life at his Goonellabah home on July 25.

Claims have since emerged that schoolyard bullying was a factor in the suicide.

Vince Boss owns the Ballina law firm Dakin Law.

“The parents (of Alex) are trying to assist the police with their enquiries and this (bullying) is an issue that has been raised that we'd like to explore,” Mr Boss said yesterday.

“We want to investigate the possibility of bullying and the use of telecommunications devices and the Internet for so-called cyber-bullying of anyone at Alex's school.

“We would like to ask people to please come forth and provide us with what information they have.

“Because while it is a tragedy now - to do nothing about it to prevent it happening again would be inexcusable.”

Any information would be treated as strictly confidential, Mr Boss said.

Alex Wildman was 14 years old and a student at Kadina High.

Nationals leader and Opposition Education spokesman Andrew Stoner called for a coronial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Alex's death.

Last year the State Liberal/National coalition called for an inquiry into bullying.

Police from the Richmond Local Area Command are gathering information from Kadina High for a Coronial inquiry.

The Northern Star contacted Kadina High.

However, the school declined to make a comment on Mr Bruce's plea for students to come forward with information.
