A public Forum for JPs and concerned citizens.
Queensland Justices Association (Toowoomba Branch) will be conducting a public Forum on Monday 20 October 2008. The Qld Attorney General, Mr Kerry Shine MP, will be attending and presenting at this event.
The purpose of this Forum is to provide current information on matters of interest to JPs and concerned members of the public.
Speakers at this event will include:
•Qld Attorney General, Mr Kerry Shine MP (Introduction)
•Snr Const Rod Sheldon, Qld Police (‘Identity Theft & Fraud’)
•Qld JP Registrar, Mr Damien Mealey, Justice Dept (Matters affecting JPs)
“The presentation by S/C Sheldon on ‘Identity Theft & Fraud’ will provide vital information on how to identify how thieves collect data and exploit people to steal their personal information. It is most important that the public educate themselves to provide protection”, said QJA (Toowoomba) President, Mr Peter Boyes.
